Bastrop Resident Home Modification Project

Operation FINALLY HOME is a national nonprofit organization based in New Braunfels, Texas, who brings together a special network of experienced home builders, building suppliers and supporters. Our mission is to provide custom-built, mortgage-free homes and home modifications to wounded, ill and injured veterans, first responders, the widows of the fallen and their families, creating a solid foundation to help them to move forward in their lives.

We are excited to start our home modification project in Bastrop, Texas.  We couldn’t provide these home modifications without the generous support the Bastrop Area Cruisers, Bastrop businesses, City of Bastrop, the local community, and past participants of the annual Veterans Weekend Car show event.  Even with this great support we are still somewhat under-funded for the completion of this project.  By bringing everyone together, we honor heroes with homes.

Our Veteran Recipient (Name & Details Withheld At This Time)

• Served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War
• 100% Disabled | Suffers from: PTSD, diabetes mellitus, Type II
• Currently living in a home which is over 33 years old.  Some of the requested home modifications are:
  • Repair rotted wood throughout the home
  • Fix plumbing issues and bring up to code
  • Wiring throughout the home needs to be checked
  • Add handrails to the stairs for stability
  • Add ramp to front porch for accessibility
