U.S. Army Second Lieutenant Jean E. Belmont has selflessly served her country and her family throughout her adult life. In addition to her own service, she supported her paratrooper husband, raised two sons who both joined the military and later spent years caring for aging family members.
Belmont has always made room for the needs of others, but due to her own sacrifices, now finds herself in need of significant home modifications. She lost her husband 12 years ago and takes care of her invalid mother.
She currently lives in a small pre-fab building she purchased with a dream to make it a home. But, with limited funds and limited time due to taking care of her mother, she needs many home modifications.
Planned additions to her Gilmer, Texas, home include a full electrical wiring, a new HVAC unit, plumbing additions in the bathroom, and drywall and insulation throughout the home. Fixtures will be added throughout the bathroom and kitchen. The front of the home will also receive a new door and entry steps with a railing.
Together, East Texas Builders Association, Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity, and Operation FINALLY HOME are proud to support U.S. Army Second Lieutenant Belmont with the donation of the materials and installation of the home modifications.
